The Patient's Goals
A visible gap between the waist, lateral hip-dip area, and upper gluteal pole shaped this patient’s starting point. For this 30-year-old international patient, the goal was softer projection without an overbuilt silhouette. In this fat-transfer BBL case, we used donor fat to refine the waist-to-hip sweep, restore upper-pole volume, and create a balanced contour many Canadian patients ask us to preserve rather than exaggerate.
Surgeon's Expert Approach
This BBL required calibration across the waist, flanks, and gluteal projection so the final shape would read as proportional, not excessive.
- Ultrasound-assisted VASER donor-site sculpting: We utilized VASER to emulsify and harvest fat from the waist, abdomen, and flanks, aiming for cleaner donor-zone definition before transfer.
- Layered gluteal fat transfer: We placed purified fat through controlled, subcutaneous passes to improve upper-pole fullness while smoothing the lateral hip-dip transition.
- Our post-surgical recovery framework: After surgery, the patient completed our post-operative care plan with HBOT and LLLT to support tissue oxygenation, edema control, and early comfort before long-haul travel home.
