Once I'm back home in Canada, how does Dr. Akif handle my follow-up care?
Aftercare does not end when you leave Istanbul. It begins with a final in-person check-up before you fly home, and continues with scheduled virtual follow-ups with Dr. Akif once you are back in Canada. Our patient coordination team remains reachable throughout your recovery, so you can raise any question as it comes up rather than waiting for an appointment.
Does Dr. Akif regularly treat patients who travel from Canada?
Yes. A large share of our patients travel from North America, including many from Canada, alongside others from the UK and Europe. Dr. Akif has performed more than 2,000 facial surgeries since 2013, and a significant number of these have been for international patients who choose the clinic specifically for his natural-looking results.
How does the cost of a deep plane facelift here compare with having it done in Canada?
For most of our Canadian patients, the same procedure with a surgeon of Dr. Akif’s experience is considerably less than at a comparable private clinic at home, often by a wide margin.
