The concern was not simply volume. This 35-year-old international patient had upper-quadrant depletion, visible hip dips, and mild gluteal asymmetry that interrupted the waist-to-hip line. In this natural BBL technique case, we focused on measured projection, smoother lateral transitions, and a contour that looked restored rather than overfilled.
Surgeon's Expert Approach
We approached this BBL with three goals: refine the donor zones, rebuild gluteal balance, and maintain a restrained gluteal contour Canadian patients often request when they want proportion without excess volume. That restraint mattered.
- HD VASER system donor-site sculpting: We used VASER Lipo 360 to collect fat from the abdomen, flanks, and lower back while narrowing the donor zones that frame the buttocks.
- Structural fat grafting: Purified fat was placed in controlled subcutaneous planes to soften lateral gluteal hollowing, support upper-pole fullness, and improve left-right symmetry without chasing excessive projection.
- HBOT and LLLT recovery protocol: The patient completed our recovery plan with HBOT and LLLT to support tissue oxygenation, edema control, and early mobility after surgery.
