“Spare tyre” was this 37-year-old USA patient’s own diagnosis — the band of midsection fat that had attached itself somewhere in his mid-30s and ignored every gym programme since. His frame was strong; the tyre simply sat on top of it, softening a torso that training kept trying to sharpen.

Surgeon's Expert Approach
